The Total Eclipse of the Moon is Full of Life  Affecting Energy!!

The total solar eclipse of August 21, 2017.

It’s a big deal here in the United States.  The daytime sky is going to go dark for 2 minutes at roughly 1 pm here in Missouri. I know right here in my hometown of 800 people a barbecue and viewing party is planned and the town is expecting to see a surge of visitors.

I can remember an eclipse from when I was a grade schooler. It really wasn’t something that “effected” my energy then as far as I can remember anyway.

There was also one in 1979, but for some reason I don’t remember that one (of course I was a teenager so that might explain it!)

I’ve always been fascinated with astrology, the metaphysical and holistic health. When I first heard of the eclipse that would be happening so close to my home, I began studying how the total eclipse effected the energy around me.

Do you remember watching the Little Shop of Horrors movie? Unlike the strange events that happened in the “Da Doo” song from the movie Little Shop of Horrors, I don’t think lightening will strike and strange things appear. That’s just a little to out of my realm of belief.

I do believe that the moons cycles, space and the universe effect us in ways we’re still learning to grasp.

How Will the Total Eclipse Effect Us?

According to science, it won’t effect us in any phsyical way. Except maybe from doing something that could cause us harm like stopping on a busy highway at the point of the total eclipse.

This is Nasa’s explanation:

There is no evidence that eclipses have any physical effect on humans. However, eclipses have always been capable of producing profound psychological effects. For millennia, solar eclipses have been interpreted as portents of doom by virtually every known civilization. These have stimulated responses that run the gamut from human sacrifices to feelings of awe and bewilderment. Although there are no direct physical effects involving known forces, the consequences of the induced human psychological states have indeed led to physical effects. (Source)

I think the key word there is Psychological. I’m a believer in God, Spirit and Angels. I also believe that the phases of the moon are a sort of energy that effects how we feel or act. It effects the way animals react and how plants grow.

This energy that floats around us is a part of us. We are made up of energy and that energy is connected to every living thing including the earth. Nature is

There are a few ways I think the eclipse will have an effect on us.

The first is it will bring us together to actually talk in person.

The full solar eclipse will bring millions of people outside to local parks or community events. This in and of itself is a great effect. This bringing together without phones or electronic devices  or social media lets us share our feelings and be awed by the sight in the sky (while looking through our protective eclipse viewing glasses).

The second thing I see happening is people getting in touch with their self. 

This can be that energy I talked about earlier or it could just be us realizing that there is something greater out there and we are the ones at this time, who can bring this new enlightenment into the world. We all know it’s needed. A lot less of “it’s all about who did this to who, how can I get back at them” and more about “how can I be of service to you because I love myself”.

The third way a total eclipse might effect us is in how we change the way we are doing things.

According to Astrologist and the study of the metaphysical, this eclipse energy is amplified from what a new moon or full moon normally has. When we meditate or simply take the time to slow down and listen to our hearts, we feel the energy to help us change. This energy allows us to heal any old wounds while helping us move towards our life purpose.

To me, that simply means it’s time to do the inner work so that I can be the best version of me from now on.

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for more peace, love and happiness on this earth!
